Madrid is the highest capital city in Europe. The city’s elevation is 2,188 feet (667 meters) above sea level, making it the highest capital city in Europe.
Madrid has more trees than any other city in Europe. The city has over 500,000 trees, making it the European city with the highest number of trees.
Madrid is home to the world’s oldest restaurant. Sobrino de Botin, located in Madrid’s city center, is recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s oldest restaurant, having opened in 1725.
Madrid is known for its art and culture. The city boasts over 60 museums, including the world-renowned Prado Museum, which has one of the finest collections of European art in the world.
